Mponda targets upset as Masters host Bullets at Bingu

Masters FC coach Peter Mponda is aiming to take three points from league leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets when the two sides meet on Sunday at Bingu National Stadium, with kick-off at 3:00 PM.

Mponda admits Bullets are in fine form but says home advantage gives Masters a real chance.

“We know we are playing against Bullets, who are leading the league. Their current form has been very good, but we are playing at home and need to play an attacking game,” he said.

The coach believes discipline and determination will decide the match.

A win would lift Masters closer to the top five as the race for league places intensifies.

Mponda will be hoping to reverse the result of the first-round meeting. On June 29 at Mpira Stadium, Bullets, then coached by Wedson Nyirenda, won 1-0, with Ephraim Kondowe scoring from the penalty spot in the 55th minute.

Nyirenda and Mponda will now meet again, this time at Bingu.
