Mpulula yet to decide on Epac offer

Controversial coach Leo Mpulula has said he will decide on joining Epac United afer scrutisining the contract.

Mpulula, who committed to remain at Blantyre United relegated from Malawi’s top league, said this after Epac Chairman Triston Chiutsi disclosed that they have settled for him as head coach with former head Abbas Makawa Makawa as his assistant.

“I cannot commit myself before I see the contract. I have to go through it and then make a decision because there can be clauses that I am not comfortable but also they could not be comfortable with what I might wish to have,” Mpulula said.

He confirmed that discussions with the club bankrolled by business magnet and politician Dean Josian Banda had taken place for him to take charge of the team.

But Mpulula’s who has strong ties with Josiah Banda said he was comfortable with the team’s decision to handpick his assistant.

“The agreement was that I would be given the freedom to choose my assistant and now I am hearing that they have already appointed one,” he said.

Epac Chairman Chiusti said they deal would depend on the two parties agreement.

“We are still finasiling discussions by the end of the weekend we will know his position. But it’s true we are interested in his services,” Chiutse said.
