Mtetemela hopeful for Dwanga relegation scrap

Head Coach for struggling TNM Super League side Dwangwa United Macdonald ‘Nginde’ Mtetemera has expressed optimism and confidence that his side improve and come back to winning ways despite a poor start in the the 2017-18 soccer season.

Mtetemera said this ahead of their Saturday’s lakeshore derby against Salima based soldiers Mafco FC at the Chitowe Stadium in Dwangwa, Nkhotakota.

He admitted that there have problems beyond the field of play that greatly affected his team but now everything has been settled.

“We have had so many hiccups of which some were beyond the control of the technical but as a family we have together sat down, gone through the challenges and discussed the solutions and I can assure you that everything is fine,” said Mtetemera.

“As a technical person, I am not happy with the way we started the 2017 season but since the management has worked on the challenges, I am confident that the team will get back on track,” he said.

Rooted in the bottom three which happens to be the relegation zone, Dwangwa United have managed to collect only four points out of a possible 15 having played five games.

Also in the relegation zone are Civil Sporting Club formerly called Civo Servise United who have four points from six games while Chitipa United anchors the 16 member log table with only a single point from seven games.

Civil Sporting Club have a tricky fixtures against league leaders Red Lions at Home while Chitipa play host to Azam Tigers at the Mzuzu Stadium on Sunday.
