Mugasa Imex Limited invests K250 million in car hire business

Over K250 million has been earmarked for the newly launched Mimosa Car Hire which was launched on Thursday at Game Stores Car Park in Lilongwe.

The cars which include an exquisite white Limousine and two Mercedes Benz were displayed at the launch where the general public was given an opportunity to pose for photos and make inquiries.

Speaking to Nyasa Times at the launch, Mugasa Imex Limited manager Vanessa Moyo said seven other cars were on their way to Malawi.

“We have a big vision and we want to do things differently. We have noted that most car hire companies hire their vehicles to Government and Non-governmental Organization. Mimosa Car Hire will be renting cars to the locals. We want to help out in weddings and other special family events,” Moyo explained.

She was quick to describe the newly launched car hire as “A business for the neighbours”.

“We will soon be introducing ambulances and waste collection services. We want to help in service delivery,” she disclosed.

Mugasa Imex Limited also owns Mimosa Afrikaana bar and restaurant located at Game Stores complex, Mugasa Hotel and Club at Devil Street and Waka Waka Hotels in Lilongwe.

Mugasa started operating in 2007 as a hotel and bar.
