A family member told state radio MBC that Mangulama collapsed Monday at his house and they tried to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre.

The hospital official said: “Despite the efforts of everyone nothing could be done to save him.”

Burial arrangements are yet to be known.

Confirming the death Patron of the grouping senior chief Ngolongoliwa was lost of words.

“I am lost of words over his demise; he was a figure who helped us with the formation of our grouping; we feel empty,” said Ngolongoliwa.

Many people who worked with Mangulama described him as as “wonderful” person.

Meanwhile, the Mulhako Board of Trustees is inviting all Trustees, Regional and District Mulhako Chairpersons and all Members of Parliament who are also members of Mulhako Wa Alhomwe cultural grouping to meet on Tuesday, the 11th of August, 2015 at Mulli Brothers Holdings Limited in Chigumula, Blantyre. He retired as one of the respectable career civil servant who worked in various positions inckuding being Princiapl Secretary in the Ministry of Finance.
