Former president Bakili Muluzi’s K1.7 billion corruption case continues to drag as it has been the case for the past seven years.

Judge Maclean Kamwambi has adjourned it to October 8 to allow the state respond to defense counsel application to transfer the case to the Constitutional case.

Anti Corruption Bureau lawyer Clement Mwala said there were no new grounds in the application as the defense last year raised the very same issues that the case was political.

The case was also adjourned because the defense counsel wanted to see originals of evidence from banks, saying this will be done on October 8.

Please Atupele advise your father to repent so that he leaves a good legacy for the family. Atupele do not just enjoy the money stolen by your father but think of the future of your family. This is very shameful to a normal person. It is pathetic to see Muluzi at that age parading in court because of theft. Just repent you will have total peace from God.

I agree with Mwala! Muluzi’s case is too political……………….!! And it is too sad that ACB is now a political party in Malawi and its president is now Mr Kondowe!
