Mzava speaks on Monaco flopped deal

It is now official, Malawi pint-sized defender Limbikani Mzava’s deal to sign for France club Monaco has flopped and the player is back to his base Bloemfontein Celtic in South Africa.

The former Escom United player told Soccer Laduma that he was impressed with his trials at Monaco although he failed to seal the deal.

“It was good, you know. I showed my best and the coach liked me but the problem is that they want a taller guy than me. They needed a tall player. That team is struggling playing in the first division and need to go to top division. They need someone tall, may be like Tower.

“They say l’m good with everything and that l’m strong because l showed my best there. The only problem was with the height,” said Mzava.

Mzava: Offered advise

Mzava, though, was offered advice to consider switching from being a defender to central midfield, according to his representatives Complete Footballers.

The player also revealed that his door in France was not completely shut down because his agent is working on another club in the same French speaking country in June.

He said that there are chances that he could fly to Belgium for trials as well.

Some months ago, the Flames right back missed another chance of signing with an Israelian club Hapoel Tel Aviv the deal flopped following disagreements on conditions to sign the player from his club Bloemfontein Celtic.
