Namwera appointed Wanderers team manager

Mighty Be Forward Wanderers FC has appointed its former defence pillar Foster Namwera as their new Team Manager.

The club confirmed the development on Wednesday, 12 February 2020 through its official website.

Reads an announcement “We’re delighted to announce Foster Namwela is joining the club as our new Team Manager”.

Namwera a former captain himself played for the Lali Lubani outfit for over a decade.

In reaction to the great news, Namwera said he was delighted and described his appointment as a great honour.

“This is a huge honour. Wanderers is one of the biggest clubs in the country. We need to be competing for the top trophies in the game and that’s been made very clear to me in my discussions with management,” he said.

“We all know there is a lot of work to be done to achieve that but I am confident we’ll do it. I’m realistic enough to know it won’t happen overnight but the current squad has plenty of talent” added Namwera.

General Secretary Victor Maunde said the nomads family is confident that Namwera will play a leading role in taking the club back to higher levels and regain its lost glory.

Avoid favouritism like Stuart Mbolembole and Bob Mpinganjira. Talent is never exposed if you ask players to give you money to select the for football games. I hope you are going to do your job with integrity and passion.
