Nangwale burial Tuesday as funeral awaits UK children
Burial for for first woman Malawi Inspector General of Police Mary Nangwale is slated on Tuesday, family members have said.
They said the burial will await the arrival of some of Nangwale’s children who are in the United Kingdom.
The family said she will be buried at Limbe Cemetary after a funeral church service at Living Waters Church in Chimwankhunda where she was a member and ordained pastor.
Vigil is currently at her residence in Kanjedza.
Police say she will receive full police honours during the burial ceremony.
She joined the police in 1972.
Nangwale died aged 63 and hailed from Rumphi.
