Ndawa faces sack at Civil Sporting: Coaches given 3-game ultimatum
Civil Sporting Club coach Franco Ndawa is on tight rope as he has been challenged to improve the team’s performance in the next three games or risk being fired alongside his assistant Oscar Kaunda and team manager Gabriel Chirwa.

The Civil Servants kick-started the TNM Super League title on a promising note as serious challengers to favourites Silver Strikers, Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers, but they have only won one game in the last 10 matches.
Civil Sporting were also eliminated from the Carlsberg Cup in the round of 32 and the management of the club is not happy with the team’s awful performance.
“You are, therefore, given three-match ultimatum to bring your performance to a satisfactory level,” reads a letter to the coaches signed by general secretary Ronald Chiwaula and vice chairperson Owen Malijani.
“If you do not [achieve] the necessary performance, I will bring further disciplinary action, including that of dismissal,” the letter further reads.
The next fixture for Civil Sporting is against Kasungu-based TN Stars in league at home. The Civil Servants will be seeking revenge as the TN Starts eliminated them from the Carlsberg Cup.

What is the problem with Lilongwe teams? At Silver, only Fazili and Songo were suspended simply because Young Chimodzi rides on the wave of a club legend. At Civil, everyone knows Ndawa is just a figure head, its Oscar Kaunda who runs the show. He even solicits bribes from players to be signed as part of the squad, let alone being featured during matches.
