Contemporary gospel singer Mada Ngoleka of Nde’feyo Gospel is set to release her new singles under the label.
The 18-year-old has been in the studio recoding her yet-to-be-titled debut album due for release this year.
According to Nde’feyo Entertainment co-director Khumbo Munthali, the label will be releasing Mada’s two singles next week.
“Her album will be coming out mid this year, but in the meantime we’re planning to release two singles next week,” said Munthali. “We’re yet to decide which singles to put out but definitely next week we’re releasing two songs.”
Speaking on Wednesday, Munthali said Mada’s album features both local and international productions. He could however not give more details.
Some of the songs to lookout on the album are “Chikondi”, “Remember”, “Falling” and “Yesu Yekhayo” and in some of the tracks she plays the guitar.
Mada was born in the United Kingdom, where she was exposed to the indie genre of music. Her music life started at Brampton Manor in London where she was doing her A-Levels, music being one of her subjects and the guitar her best instrument.
She recorded a five-song EP which included songs like “Chikondi”, “Bright Side”, “Consuming Fire”, “Change” and “70 Times 7”.
Mada returned to Malawi in July, 2011 and went on to sign a record deal with Nde’feyo Entertainment under the stable’s sub-label Nde’feyo Gospel.
The singer was recently featured on BBC Focus on Africa.
