A new record label, Full Nation Entertainment (FNE) has launched in Lilongwe with the aim of promoting upcoming musicians.
Speaking at the launch of the label, FNE Chief Executive Officer James Chirwa Jnr said FNE is an independent record label and a product of FNE Holdings (a registered entertainment company) and has currently signed up three artists.
“We have signed up Luminous, born Lumbani Muva who is a Rapper, Teddy Muva who is an R ‘n’ B artist and Pendo, born Upendo Mseka whi is an R ‘n’ B and Afropop artist,” said Chirwa Jnr also populary known as ‘King Zawanje’ in entertainment circles.
“ FNE is aware that music is a very competitive industry but our mission is to complete and compliment efforts already made by other talented musicians in Malawi.”
“We are confident that we will be a game changer and bring something fresh on the scene. We believe we will be in the industry for a long time due to our key principles of hard work, discipline, dedication and passion,” said Chirwa Jnr.
“We value networking and look forward to working with other artists and learning from their achievements and challenges.We have a strategy to ensure our success and longevity and we believe in financial discipline and objective timing of all our releases,” he added.
Chirwa Jnr said his record label works with Malawian producers and musicians and that their first year of running will focus on the local market.
“Our first single will be released publicly next Monday 5th February 2018 and the title track is called “Set me free” by Luminous feat Pendo,” said Chirwa Jnr.
