A South African-based Malawian living in Johannesburg has developed software that enables those with products and services market them on Facebook through local mobile money services TNM Mpamba and Airtel Money.
The platform can be accessed via the Malawi Coin website (http://www.malawicoin.com) and will greatly assist ordinary Malawians with a quest to market their brands on Facebook but do not have PayPal accounts, credit cards or other such means to pay Facebook.
According to Danny Simfukwe, the developer, the system is connected to Facebook allowing it to sync to it in real time.
“This means that when an Ad is created on the platform it’s also created on Facebook, when it is deleted on the platform, it also deleted on Facebook,” said Simfukwe.
According to him, the platform allows one to see such things as one’s Ad reach, clicks, impressions and the money spent.
Facebook has over 1.6 billion active users worldwide, making it an ideal tool to market brands and products.
Apart from Malawi Coin, Simfukwe is also brains behind www.urbanmalawi.com, an online music portal which he developed in 2012 to help artists in Malawi to reach to wider audiences through downloads.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
