Ng’onamo gets coaching job in Denmark

The searching for a coach is not over for the People’s team, Big Bullets as reports indicates that their mentor Eding’ton Ng’onamo will be heading to Denmark where he has been earmarked a post as an

assistant coach to former Flames tactician Kim Splidsboel, Nyasa Times can reveal.

Ng’onamo, who took over the mantle from Gilbert Chirwa, is expected to depart for Denmark on May 9, 2012 together with Flames vast experienced hit-man Esau ‘Black Mamba’ Kanyenda.

On Thursday, May 3, 2012 Ng’onamo was spotted by Nyasa Timesat Sky Link Offices in Blantyre to confirm his travel details.

Ng’onamo’s departure will be a big blow to the People’s team because he blended the team with young and veteran players that he managed to take the team into the finals of the Fellowship Association of Malawi (Fama) Big Eight Cup.

However, the team failed to clinch the cup after a 6-5 demolition to cops of area 30, Blue Eagles in the spot kick.

Nyasa Time failed to hear from Ng’onamo’s side on his Denmark trip as his phone was out of reach.

However, Flames vast experienced striker Kanyenda confirmed about his Denmark trip but refused to shed more light.

“I have been in touch with Kim but l cannot shed more light because l will be in good position to explain once we agree on some conditions,” said Kanyenda.

Kanyenda said that he is supposed to connect to Denmark after the Flames friendly game in China.

Splidsboel’s was successful during his tenure as Flames coach.
