Catholic priest Fr Magwaya dies
Catholic priest Fr. Alfred Magwaya, who was serving as a priest at St Paul’s the Apostle Minor Seminary in Mangochi Diocese has died.
According to a statement monitored on Radio Maria, Magwaya passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Mlambe Hospital in Blantyre.
Magwaya, who was born on November, 7, 1970 was ordained as a priest on October 10, 1999 at St Augustine Cathedral in Mangochi Diocese.
During his tenure as a priest, Magwaya served in the following parishes: Ulongwe, Nankumba, Kapire, Katema and St Paul are the Apostle Minor Seminary.
The Priest, who hails from T /A Manewa, Kaingwa Village, will be buried on Monday, May 7, 2012 at St Paul’s cemetery after a funeral mass at St Augustine Cathedral.
