No Pain No Gain Boxing Promotions Managing Director Craig Rousseau confirmed  this week in an interview with a local radio that they have indeed secred a bout for the Malawi defence force soldier to be staged in Zambia on 30th October.

The name of the opponent is yet to be disclosed.

“We just got him a title fight in Zambia and its a WPBF (World Professional Boxing Federation)” said Roussau.

Roussau said his stable is leaving no stone unturned in taking boxing to greater heights in Malawi.

He also revealed that he has launched negotiations with the corporate world including Chibuku Products Limited among others to invest in boxing.

“I give all in boxing and on the local scene we want to get sponsorship for our boxers” he said.

Masamba has been involved in a number of international fights but he is yet to leave a mark on the international scene.

In December last year, he suffered an embarrasing defeat in Windhoek Namibia after being knocked out in the 47th second before losing
another bout to a Tanzanian boxer Jeremiah Nakathila few months later.

This time around, he will be heading to Zambia with momentum after beating his rival Osgood Kayuni in a controversial fight which took
place at the Robins Park in Blantyre where judges had to announce Kayuni the winner before changing the decision to decalre the once
mighty ‘Hard Hitter’ the winner.
