Nomads beat Moyale 3-2 in league opener

Mighty Wanderers  issued a statement of intent  that they would put a great fight in their TNM Super League title campaign this season by beating tough opponents Moyale Barracks 3-2 on Saturday in Blantyre.

This was a first game of the league season for 2012/2013.

It was the manner of the win at Kamuzu Stadium  which Wanderers supporters  celebrated  and took it as  significant.

The blues blew away a two goal lead and as everyone else was ready to write home a draw match, the Nomads scored a winning goal in spectacular fashion.

Diverson Chilemba broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute giving the ‘nyerere’ fans in blue a first goal cheer of the season.

The Nomads midfield dynamo Nafe Msasa made it two up six minutes into the second half  with sharp shot from what looked to be an impossible angle to get a target.

Moyale  substitute Sunganani Matiko reduced the arrears and two minutes later he equalled the scores.

Nomads scored their winning goal through  Chilemba with only four minutes to full time.

At Zomba Community Centre Ground, Red Lions beat Blantyre United 1-0, courtesy of Emmanuel Banda’s strike.
