Nyasa Bullets AGM set for 4 Feb: Supporters committee to have polls

Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club has announced that it will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 4th February 2016 where among other things, a new Main Supporters Committee is expected to be ushered into office.

Bullets top fan Stone Mwamadi: To seek fresh mandate

A statement released and signed by the AGM Organizing Committee Chairman Gregory Madeya, the meeting will take place at Gymkana Club in the old Malawi Capital, Zomba.

The statement further asks all members aspiring to acquire various positions to start collecting nomination forms.

In Blantyre, the forms can be collected at the club’s Administration Office while in the Capital Lilongwe, those interested can contact a Mr. Sitima and a Mr. Msowoya.

The aspiring candidates are being advised to read carefully the conditions attachedonce they collect the nomination forms before signing.

It is however revealed that it is not automatic that all the members who will collect and later submit nomination forms will be eligible to contest, according to the statement.

“It is not automatic that when members submit their nomination forms are eligible to stand, it will be up to the Electoral Committee with recommendations from the Board of Trustees to scrutinize each and every candidate before being allowed to stand,” reads part of the statement.

The statement is also clear that only members who have no issues with the club, Super League of Malawi (Sulom) and Football Association of Malawi (FAM) will be allowed to stand.

“Members are also being informed that only those with no outstanding issues with the club, FAM and Sulom are eligible to stand. Deadline for receiving nomination forms is on Wednesday 1st February, 2017,” it reads.

There have been confusion in Bullets camp since it was announced that Executive Committee elections will not take place at the AGM.

The current supporters main committee led by its Chairman Stone Mwamadi has been demanding that the executive committee elections be conducted since the mandate of the current committee is expiring.

Bullets Board of Trustees announced shelving of the executive committee elections at the AGM arguing they want to concentrate on Club Licencing System requirements such as club ownership.
