Nyasa Football Club on Sunday clinched the Galani MW 1 soccer bonanza after whipping Babz Football Club 3-2 through penalties shoot out at Nyasa Ground in Area 49, Llongwe.
For winning the tournament, Nyasa went home with a ball and K75,000 while the runner-up went home with a ball and K40,000. Those who participated received a consolation price of K5,000 each.
The tournament – which was psonosred at the tune of K800,00 0- attracted eight teams and was arraged to raise awareness on HIV/Aids.
Galani MW 1 is a Malawian herb concoction that might help to cure HIV/AIDS. Unlike other concoctions, Galani is backed by data in the field.
Galani MW 1 Herb was discovered by a man from Lilongwe who was shown the herb in a dream in 2007. He was HIV-positive and was on ARVs from 2005 to 2007.
He got ‘cured’ after taking the medicine. The man has been tested several times for HIV and is still HIV-negative.
Garani Marketing Manager Kenneth Serema said he was happy that the tournament has gone very well.
“We are very happy as a company to see how the tournament has progressed you so for yourself a lot of people came to witness the game, to us as a company that was good,”said Serema.
Serema said as a company they will seat down and they will be announcing bigger than this.
He promised continued football sponsorship and spread tournaments to other parts of the country.
