Nyovest two shows in Malawi set: South African hip-hop artist to perfom in Lilongwe and Blantyre

South Africa’s hip-hop artist of the moment, Cassper Nyovest,  is set to perform  two shows in Malawi, one in Blantyre and the other in Lilongwe next month,  disclosed   organisers , the company that brought in  songstress Zahara in 2013.

The multi-award winning rapper was initially slated to perform at College of Medicine Sports Complex in Blantyre  on 21 March, 2015.

But  organisers added another shat Alexenders Pub Courtyard on Sunday, March 22.

“This gives fans enough time to save for this high profile live music show, which fun-goers in the two cities, aged 16-35, cannot afford to miss,” said Kimpho Lokaof Pencils PR, a consultancy running the show’s promotion.

He  indicates that tickets will start selling after Valentine.

“Standard tickets will be K5,000; VIP K8,000. At the door standard entry will be K6,000 while VIP will be K10,000.”

Ticket selling points will be announced in due course, according to Loka.

Nyovest, also a record producer, was born Refiloe Maele Phoolo. His debut album Tsholofelo was released on 18 July 2014.

Last October he was ranked number 1 on “The Hottest MC in Africa” list by MTV Base. Nyovest was also ranked number 2 on MTV Base’s “SA’s Hottest MC” list with K.O at number 1.

Some of the awards he has scooped include the 2013 SA Hip Hop Awards Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year and Best Freshman for the song Gusheshe and Album of the year and Best Digital sales for the song Tsholofelo.

In 2014, Doc Shebeleza won the Song of the Year in the SA Hip Hop Awards, while the same year 2014 he won the Channel O Music Video Awards Most Gifted Male, Most Gifted Southern Artist and Most Gifted Video of the Year.
