Opportunity International Bank closes three branches in North Malawi    

The Opportunity International Bank of Malawi (OIBM) closed three of its branches in the northern region.

According to some inside source, the affected branches include Chitipa, Nkhata-bay and Jenda in Mzimba districts.

“The OIBM has indeed closed its branches in Chitipa, Nkhata-bay and Jenda. We were surprised today morning when the supervisor told us to hand over all working documents to our bosses who came under police escort,” OIBM employee told Nyasa Times on Monday.

They added “as for the staff we have been told to meet our managers on Friday at Mzuzu hotel .

However, OIBM officials are yet to issue a comment on the matter.
