Pastor Chayang’ana set to launch ‘Woyera’ album

This coming Sunday will be a great day for gospel fans in Lilongwe as the capital city’s well-known men of God, Pastor and singer Charles Chayang’ana, will be unveiling his ‘Woyera’ CD and DVD.

The launch is scheduled to take place at what is now becoming a popular rendezvous for gospel musicians and their fans in the capital, the Sheaffer ICA Marquee.

In an interview with Nyasa Times, Chayang’ana promised to give the best show to gospel music lovers, saying he wants to show maturity as he will be releasing his 5th album.

“I’m very prepared, musically and spiritually for this show. I have been rehearsing for two weeks now, just to give out my best performance. People should come and experience ‘Praise Explosion’, they will not regret their presence,” he said.

Chayang’ana’s launch comes at a time when gospel music shows are enjoying massive support from the public, especially in the country’s two major cities, Blantyre and Lilongwe. The show follows last week’s ‘Lungisani Impilo’ album launch by Limbani Simenti in the capital city.

But Chayang’ana calls on gospel music lovers to not only attend gospel shows for the dance fun of it but they should reflect on the messages the songs carry.

“It’s time to dance in Jesus’ name, yes. But this is also the time to make a good relationship with God through gospel songs, rather than coming to the shows and go home without receiving Jesus, it’s just a waste of time,” said the man of God.

During the ‘Woyera’ CD and DVD launch, there will be a rainbow of gospel artists including the revived Mlaka Maliro, Thocco Katimba, The Great Angels Choir, Peter Sambo, The Marvellous Deeds, Violet Tengani, Grace Chomanika, Evance Mereka and Vincent Kadzakumanja aka ‘The Advisor’ and many others.

‘Woyera’ album is Pastor Chayang’ana’s 5th recording and it has 10 tracks in which most of them are enjoying airplay on different local radio stations.
