Pasuwa names 24-man Malawi squad for Egypt double-header
Malawi coach Kalisto Pasuwa has named a 24-player squad for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Egypt, with striker Lanjesi Nkhoma among the notable returnees.

The Flames face the Pharaohs in Cairo on November 11 and host them at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe six days later, in a bid to collect crucial Group B points.
Nkhoma, who plays for TP Mazembe, returns after missing Pasuwa’s last three selections.
Other foreign-based call-ups include Richard Mbulu and Babatunde Adepoju, both based in Mozambique, and Mwisho Mhango of German club Hannover 96.
Sacramento Republic FC forward Mayele Malango has been ruled out because his club is competing in the Western Conference semi-finals of the 2026 USL Championship Playoffs.
Defender Denis Chembezi is injured, and goalkeeper William Thole has been left out because of limited club appearances.
The nine players selected from local clubs are due to travel to Egypt on November 8 to join their foreign-based teammates before the opening match.
