Piksy, The Langwani Movement album set for Oct
One of the dazzling music artists in the country, Piksy has promised mature and well blended tracks in his forthcoming solo album which is due to come out either in October or November this year under his newly formed band, The Langwani Movement.
The album which has 10 tracks, titled Nthunzi is being produced by different studios with the most versatile producers including DJ Sley, Uzzy Uganda and 123 Records with eight tracks already done.
Some of the tracks that are already enjoying air play on the country’s radio stations are Tsoka liyenda which has a stunning video, Maloto and Oh Yeah.
Speaking in an exclusive interview over the weekend after a sparkling performance at Kasungu Inn during the show organized by HOHO Magic Sound, The Unamata star promised a continued mission in entertaining music lovers in the country as he grows both musically and physically.
“I do not take for granted every support rendered to me by my music fans and everybody involved. For this reason I will music video this coming Friday called Oh Yeah which am thanking people.
“It is to be shot in an old school version which I believe would leave my fans more entertained,” highlighted Piksy.
Born Evans Zangazanga, a former member of the famous disbanded Atumwi duo hinted that the title track of the soon to be released Nthunzi album is also a thank you to God regarding the difficulties he had gone through.
“I have gone through challenging times for me to reach where I am now, Nthunzi which is shade in English is more of depicting how the Almighty God has been faithful to me and as I am talking now, he [God] is my shade.
“Airtel Malawi is to sponsor the launch of the album and most of the things regarding marketing of the album. During the country tour of Nthunzi album, people should expect fireworks,” he said.
According to the Airtel Malawi brand ambassador whose enthralling and sparkling styles left the fans dancing, singing along and calling for more after dishing back to back his famous tracks like, Uncle short one, Unamata,Appetizer, Moto, Ponya mwendo, Wa CV for close to an hour, disclosed to Mana that his band has incorporated Nepman of the Malipe dance fame and is soon join Young Kay as another burgeoning group member.
Some of the artists who also performed astoundingly at the jam packed Kalibu Hall and did not thwart the thirsty of music lovers but left them dancing and calling for more of their performances included Mwanache, Ghetto Warriors, Snake J, Sparkxy, Ghetto Movement, Yongiezo, and Kasungu reggae icon Mfumu Kaliwo of Raggae Bumbe fame.
And in his remarks, Managing Director of HOHO Magic Sound, an entertainment firm which brought Piksy to perform for the first time in KU, Noah Suzgo Mushani assured all music lovers of more music shows which would include the heavy weights in the industry performing right in the fast growing golden leaf town.
“We have managed to bring Piksy and Mwanache live on stage which other people did not expect would happen. As you had seen, the youths and all were here to be entertained and we are promising more of these as time goes by,” explained Noah who also doubles as a Disc Jockey (DJ) of the group.
