Presidential Netball Cup quarters complete: Blue Eagles face Thunder Queens
The quarter final set in the Presidential Netball Cup is complete following Thursday’s games at Blantyre Youth Centre.
During the explosive matches, all giants like Kukoma Diamonds, Complex Tigresses, Blue Eagles Sisters, Civonets and Thunders progressed into the quarter finals.
In the first quarter finals match, fireworks are expected to explode as Blue Eagles takes on Thunder Queens before Kukoma Diamonds and Lameck Queens.
Civonets will play Mimosa Queens in the third encounter before Tigresses takes on Prison Sisters.
Netball Association of Malawi general secretary Carol Bapu described the first day of the tournament as succesful and entertaining.
Bapu said the level of competition was impressive and urged netball lovers in Blantyre to converge at BYC on Friday on witness the quarter finals.
“So far so good and we are impressed with the way smaller teams have improved. People should expect more competitive games comefriday,” said Bapu.
Meanwhile, some of the teams that have been shown an exit door in the tournament are Mafco, Alliance Capital, Young Sisters.
