Problems will be there but deliverance is guaranteed

Many people think that from the moment they accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior they will start living a problem or affliction free life. This is not the case because the Lord does not promise us a trouble free existence, but He does promise to deliver us. “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19). jesus bible

The time that you did not receive Jesus Christ, there was nothing that the enemy could fight for because you already belonged to him. Now after receiving Jesus Christ, you are no longer the same therefore the enemy is shaken by you. That is why there are so many afflictions in the lives of those that are saved as compared to those that have not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

But, the beautiful thing is that even though afflictions may be many, God will still show up and deliver them. Remember the story of Job, after all the afflictions that he went through, there was a happy ending and the bible tells us in Job 42:10 that the lord turned the captivity of Job and gave him twice as much as he had before.

There is no child of God that has never gone through these times. We are in the world yet we do not belong to the world. That is why Jesus said that “I have given them your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world” (John 17:14).  If you think you have accepted Jesus Christ and you haven’t gone through such times, then you need to accept Jesus Christ again.

Look at the life of Paul, He was greatly used by God with the message of the new covenant but he went through great afflictions. But He never gave up as he still continued to reach out to people. The message of the cross that has become the center of the new covenant was actually revealed to him meaning that He was a very powerful man of God yet the afflictions were still there.

It is my prayer that as children of God, we should not be easily moved by circumstances, but instead we should continuously search scriptures where we will find comfort and be able to get closer to God even more.  The word of God gives us hope, where there seem to be no hope, and at the same time make us strong in the spirit which makes the enemy have no desire to get close to us.

Take not that even though the problems may seem to be increasing, God is seeing your tears and weeping may just be for a night but joy will come in the morning. Our God is a God that still shows up no matter how long it may take. Just as the children of Israel thought Pharaoh and his army were getting too close and there was no hope, God showed up. He did not just deliver them but even the enemies were destroyed.

O……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………O Let us so write as not to be ambiguous in the message being conveyed; and I quote . . . “The time that you did not receive Jesus Christ, there was nothing that the Enemy could fight for, because you already belonged to him.” – Paragraph 2 Who is the “him” in this statement? The Enemy or the Christ? Clearly ambiguous! . . . Sadly the preceding or subsequent statements do not help either, as there is no clue whatsoever as to who this “him” is. You would have saved us much time guessing, had you just inserted the… Read more »
