Prophet Bushiri donates K150 million towards child development home in Lesotho

South Africa based Malawian preacher Prophet Shepherd Bushiri on Thursday donated R 2 million (about K150 million) towards the development of Lesiba Children’s Home in Maseru, Lesotho.

The money will help in the construction of the hostel wing at the centre as the children use their classrooms as dormitories.

The upgraded infrastructure will also allow the Children’s Home to accept more Children and further aid the community.

Lesotho deputy prime minister Mothetjoa Metsing hailed the Malawian born preacher for the gesture.

The leader and founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) made the heartfelt gesture as part of his ongoing K1 billion Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) philanthropic project which rolled out in July.

So far, close to R 3 million (K150 000 million) has been spent on reaching out to various orphanages in South Africa.

Making the commitment, the Prophet said every child deserves proper care and love.

He added that it is the duty of everybody to make sure there is no child going hungry and failing to get education because of their vulnerability.

“I love every child as my own. It will always be my burden to ensure that I share whatever God has blessed me with,” he said.

Lesiba Children’s Home keeps vulnerable children from various corners of Lesotho. The children get free education, accommodation and meals.
