Prophet Bushiri pays tribute to wife Mary in birthday message shared on social media
Famous prophet Shepherd Bushiri, the leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church, has taken to Facebook with an emotional tribute to his wife, Mary, describing her as “one of the greatest blessings God has given” him.
In a lengthy post shared with his followers, Bushiri praised his wife’s dual role as both his spouse and a prophetess in her own right, saying he had watched her “carry her calling with strength, faith, grace, and courage” throughout their marriage.
“I celebrate the woman God chose to walk beside me, pray with me, challenge me, encourage me, and share this journey with me,” he wrote, adding that he had come to know “the woman behind the prophetess” — someone who “loves deeply, prays sincerely, gives selflessly, and keeps going even when the road is difficult.”
The post continued in a similarly reflective tone, with Bushiri offering a prayer for his wife’s continued strength and wisdom.
“I pray that God continues to strengthen you, increase your wisdom, protect your heart, and take you deeper into everything He has called you to become,” he wrote, before expressing hopes for the future of their marriage and shared ministry.
“As we continue walking together, may God keep our marriage strong, our purpose united, and our love growing,” the message read, closing with a direct address to his wife: “To my wife, my prophetess, my love—thank you for being you. I love you, and I will always be grateful that God chose our paths to meet.”
