Man of the moment Prophet Shepherd Bushiri on Wednesday stormed Zambia on his private jet and had a similar presidential like security detail with hordes of Zambian Police including army soldiers spicing up his famed miracle crusade.
Thousands of people came to his crusade as Bushiri – part of religious group Enlightened Christian Gathering – has grown in fame after he recently left the Christian world thunder-struck when he was recently filmed walking on thin air.
The Malawian ‘Man of God’ who is based in South Africa, recently caused controversy when he hired hundreds of police officers during his Mzuzu crusade.
But in Zambia it was no big deal, as the ‘Major 1’ -who prophesied about Zambia’s 2015 elections that Edgar Lungu would win the presidency and it came to pass – started his crusade with pomp.
He told worshippers that the Prophetic reveals hidden things, gives hope, comforts and prepares people for what is to come.
During the crusade, Bushiri performed several ‘miracles’ as he prayed for many critically ill patients who testified to have been healed.
“My daughter was in a very critical situation, she about to die and we lost hope. We learnt about Papa [Bushiri] when he prophesied about an attack on President Lunge’s health and it happened, and he prayed that his life would be spared. So when I learnt about this crusade I had to bring Patricia here and she is fit and well,” said a woman who identified as Maggie Mulenga.
Prophet Bushiri is not only a man of the cloth who spends time prophesying but he is also a business tycoon reportedly owning gold mines across Africa.
The multi-millionaire is also President of African Christian Coalition for Israel Ltd (AFRICCI) an organisation which provides funding for projects and programmes to Governments and Institutions which can guarantee re-payment.
This year AFRICCI has secured funding of over US$100 billion for Africa’s Development.
