Prophet Bushiri’s Bible Up-Close: Living a resurrected life

Scripture Reference: “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11)Bushiri column

Every single person goes through adversities or times of difficulty. In relation with you, maybe you didn’t get a promotion you deserved,  didn’t receive the tender you desperately needed, or maybe you lost a loved one, a friend betrayed you.  It is very easy to get negative and bitter and lose your zeal for life, but understand today that you are not defined by your past, you are simply prepared by it.

What makes the difference between an achiever and a failure is determination.  When the two parties are faced with the same opposition, a failure will lose hope and give up but an achiever always knows that there’s greater things coming ahead, they have a confident faith and a stubborn credence that knows that God promises nothing but victory for those who love Him and seek Him diligently.

Every challenge you have been through, every adversity you have faced and every hurdle you have come across was simply a means by which God deposited something on the inside of you. Your character was being developed, your strength was being increased, your wisdom was advancing and your faith was being made stronger.

Joy is derived when you begin to realise that with every single difficulty you face you can experience more of God’s goodness and ability power. Apostle Paul said it in this manner, “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then He is strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10)

God’s power is made manifest in our times of weakness. At the very darkest hour of our lives that’s when He steps in to turn things around. A miracle is not a miracle if you are able to perform it yourself, a miracle is something so out – of this world that the raw materials of its manufacture cannot be traced back to anything or anyone.  Now, since God is in the miracle working business even today,  He waits until your situation is so grave that not even your relatives can help you. He is made strong in our very weaknesses.

You may have had unfair things happen to you but remember all things work together for good to those who love the Lord. The Bible does not say that all things are good, but God will turn your mess into a message and your trial into a triumph. Nomatter what challenge you may be facing now, nomatter what you have experienced in your past, if you remain steadfast God will turn it around for your good. Choose to have a resurrection mentality.

God wants to exchange your garment of heaviness for His garment of praise. He wants you to rise again and shine again. The Prophet Isaiah instructed us in this manner, “Arise shine for your light has come,” Isaiah 60:1

This is the set time for you to rise, shine and conquer the world. The Lord is ready to give you joy for your mourning and restore to you all your stolen years. There is nothing too grave for him and if you would simply believe,  God will cause you to rise to higher dimensions than ever before.

Prayer: Father in heaven, today I pray to you and I believe that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in me and it will also raise and give life to every dead situation in my life. I receive my new beginning and my new dimension. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen
