Prophet TB Joshua gets UN recognition

The United Nations (UN) has recognized Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church for All Nations (SCOAN) and the Emmanuel TV based in Nigeria for his humanitarian efforts both locally and internationally.

Delivering the letter during last Sunday Service at the SCOAN on January 26, a UN representative in Nigeria, Oussuma Sami Elawar, who was also in attendance, told TB Joshua that the efforts he and his organization undertake in charity work have been recognized by the United Nations.

“The UN appreciates the charity work you and your organization undertake in alleviating problems of those in need locally as well as internationally,” Elawar told Joshua.

In a humble response, Prophet TB Joshua said: “I am not sure if I can do this,” wondered the Prophet.

But the UN representative responded immediately that there was no better person than him.

It was not immediately clear whether the UN is requesting him to be its humanitarian ambassador or it is simply recognition of good works of charity which he and his organization undertake without ethnic or religious prejudice.

Prophet TB Joshua and his organization are known all over the world first and foremost for their spiritual role as they carry out mind bursting miracles in prophesies, deliverances and healing of diseases including incurable ones such as cancer and AIDS broadcast live on their television network, The Emmanuel TV,  during Saturday and Sunday Services.

In his ceremony last Sunday, which usually takes place before the Ministries of Prophesy and Healing, TB Joshua centered his preaching on the fact that Christians are not fighting against flesh and blood but against demonic principalities and powers which use human beings to fulfill their missions.

“Therefore if any Christian fights a fellow human being, then you are fighting a losing battle,” he emphasized.

He explained that God loves sinners but He hates sin, he hates the act of sinning and not the person because anyone has an opportunity to repent and become good christians.

The message was relating to a miraculous deliverance of a gay Nigerian born businessman living in Cameroun, Tedu Odepute during deliverance time a week ago.

Odupute who was still undergoing counseling at the SCOAN, confirmed that he had been delivered from the spirit of gay which entered him three years ago in Asia after sharing a swimming pool with fellow men he didn’t know.

He caused laughter in the Church when he said: “I now have a craving for women unlike before and I need one to marry immediately and have many children.”
