“I am very happy with the performance of my players. This is a warning to other teams before the league kicks off,” Red Lions coach Collins Nkuna said.

His counterpart for Epac, Abasi Makawa, said he was not disappointed with the defeat but was encouraged with the performance of his charges.

“We played well but Red Lions won, so at the end of everything it is just football. Let me congratulate them for the victory,” said Makawa.
