Rehana: No more

On Wednesday rumours circulated on social networking sites that she had passed on but the relation said her death was “certified by doctors at Malamulo hospital” Thursday afternoon.

Rehana has worked through the ranks as a presenter, news anchor, reporter, producer, public relations officer of the MBC TV and was an inspiration to many.

Tributes have come from many Malawians including MBC TV personalities.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family at this trying and difficult time,” posted Waza Otomani.

“Rehana was a fighter and a winner of her life. She believed in the true and real life. and she then lived the life she believed,” wrote Geoffrey Kapusa, television personality.

Academician Winfred Mkochi said he was “saddened” to hear of Rehanna’s death.

“Am failing to come to terms with her passing on of this beautiful and intelligent woman,” Mkochi commented on a Facebook post of Thom Twee (Chiumia).

She was at private Malamulo hospital suffering from pneumonia.

Her relations told Nyasa Times  that Rehanna died quietly.
