‘Shadow First Lady’ Monica Chakwera in Mothers Day charity at Ntcheu Hospital

Madam Monica Chakwera, wife to the leader of opposition and President of Malawi Congress Party (MCP), on Wednesday led MCP Youth League members in charity work where she  donated assorted food and non food items wealth K1 million.

Speaking soon after handing over the items at the hospital, Mrs Chakwera said he decided to join the youth in order to send a message that mothers are important and that they need support from each and everyone especially during their labour time.

“I became the mother on 15 October, 1977 so this is a big day in my life that is why I came here to commemorate mothers day together,” Said Madam Chakwera.

In his remarks, MCP Youth Chairman, Goodwin Mseka commended Madam Chakwera for leading the youth in cheering the patients at Ntcheu District Hospital during the commemoration of this year’s mothers day.

Alice Nankhoma a patient at the hospital who had just delivered a baby girl, commended Madam Chakwera and the youths for assisted them with gifts.

I don’t think so coz there are chewas, tumbukas,ngonis,yawos,Tonga’s and other tribes in Dpp who don’t dance nchopa. Between 1964-94 this country was under MCP does this means the whole country was nyau..?
