Sipe is Malawi’s 2nd housemate in Big Brother Africa

After DJ Malick aka Mr 265 was unveiled as Malawi’s first housemate in the 2014 Big Brother House last week, M-net on Monday revealed 24-year-old Sipherile Chitambo known as Sipe from Lilongwe as the second Malawian representative in the competition dubbed “Hotshots”.

A hairdresser, Sipe has an MSCE and ICM Hotel and Catering Management qualification.

Her favourite foods are nsima with chicken and okra, pizza, Thai food and ‘a bit of Indian cuisine’.

Her favourite TV shows include Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and Idols.

Sipe favourite musicians are Beyonce, Brandy, Sam Smith and Zahara. Her favourite actor Idris Elba and  actress Angelina Jolie.

Sipe’s favourite place in her country is Lake Malawi, because it relaxes her. Her favourite place outside of Malawi is Paris.

“It’s the most beautiful place in the world and I always imagine spending time on my honeymoon there,” she says. “It’s the City of Love!” She says the best things about Africa are the people, the landscape and the food.

She lists Beyonce as her role model because “she’s hardworking and she makes it look so easy. I’d love to be like her”.

Sipe’s mother  played a huge role in her life too.

“She raised three children on her own and it hasn’t been easy for her, but she managed to see us through school. She’s a very strong woman,”she says.

  5. I suppose there is really a moderator for the comments. I made a comment and it never POSTED . While it is okay to allow woman- hating comments, and sexist comment on the file I think that people should leave her to her vices. No one forces anyone to subscribe to DSTV and watch BBA. It is optional. Secondly saying that she doesn’t represent Malawian beauty IT IS RELATIVELY true because she is not average looking like most Malawians. Who are originally very Black looking. And that is ALSO okay . Most Malawians except of the so called coloured are originally very light skinned except for a few. But even so she bleached her skin it is up to her she buys her bleach and uses it on her self. It is what she wants . She is representing her “crazy Malawian self”. She is not a politician nor is she a diplomat. She is going to a reality show where voyeurism prevails.
    It is high time Malawians stopped thinking that they culture is original nor is MALAWI A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY . Malawi is a product of colonialism, a product of religious proselytes and so are many other countries. Those who claim other- wise should go and refresh their already brain washed minds as we all are. It is just a reality show .Which is based on what the owner and the sponsors want to get in-terms of money.
