Slessor returns with Pa Chiwaya
After Swag yaKabaza enters Pa Chiwaya. Hip-Hop artist Slessor on Saturday released another hit song yet to take radio waves by storm.
Pa Chiwaya, produced by Stich Fray and video by Media quake, portrays the daily life of an average Malawian.
It centres on a guy meeting a girl for the first time and basically telling her to meet at a certain “Chiwaya spot”.
This is Slessor’s second release after Swag ya Kabaza video which is currently enjoying airplay on tv stations.
Pa Chiwaya is a song, according to the artist, inspired from a realization that Malawians relate well to real life situations.
”I think every true Malawian has tasted Chiwaya before. So I based my song on real life experiences,” explained Slessor.
His decision to delve on real life experiences has received positive response with his fan base swelling up notably.
”So far the response to my songs has increased after I took that approach. My previous release Swag yakabaza shot up the Malawi music charts and is doing good on tv charts too.”
Slessor has since called on fellow artists to embrace authenticity in their productions.
