  2. Commendable job by Malawi police.Foreigners should stop using KIA as conduit of drugs looking at its ill sophistication of the airport.Had it been it was in Indonesia,he was ready to see the maker by a merciless firing squad. They will start respecting KIA.

  3. It’s not strange for drug dealers to use several airports on the way to their final destination. There is a direct flight from Guarulhos in Sao Paolo to OR Tambo in Johannesburg. But they know that flights from Brazil are considered high risk for drugs in many countries if you land directly from there so what they do is they get on a flight to addis and because they are in international transit nothing much is done except the usual metal detector screening, when they land in Malawi we don’t suspect anything from people coming from Ethiopia because it’s low risk, two days later he gets on board a flight to SA and lands a citizen not many checks and mission complete since again Malawi is kit considered high risk for drugs. But good to know that Malawi despite lack of sophisticated technology we stop such people from using our borders as transit point a lot of people get caught at KIA.
