South Africa’s Channel O Djs date Malawi: Wendy, Elly K to perform
Channel O female DJs from DStv popular entertainment and music television channel will give a rare treat to revellers when they perform in Malawi at Chez Ntemba in Blantyre and Lilongwe.
The DJs; MS Comos, Groove Candi, DJ Wanderful and DJ Portable are set to spin the music on the turntables Blantyre Chez Ntemba on Friday while the fun will turn to Lilongwe on Saturday.
TS Promotions and Blue Drops, powered by Entertainers Promotions, with sponsorship from Carlsberg Malawi, has made it possible for the shows, dubbed Divas DJs Affairs Party.
Twikale Chirwa, Carlsberg Malawi Senior Brands Manager for Alcoholic Beverages , said they were approached by local DJ Flava to support the shows.
“As Carlsberg Malawi we thought that this is a good event aimed at empowering female DJs because we do not have many in the country,” Chiwa said.
“These Channel O DJs will also inspire our lady DJs here so that they can improve their skills.”
Revellers, who will have to pay K1,000 to enjoy the fun, will also enjoy reduced prices for Special Brew and Stout.
Chirwa said they would continue supporting the arts as the Malawi leading brewer also sponsors Urban music through Carlsberg Special.
The budding female musician Elly K and veteran self styled dance hall artiste Wendy Harawa will also give perform live at the shows.
