Spirit filled warfare

The world may look so peaceful and yet children of God are facing so many things that come through attacks from the enemy. Our enemy, Satan is doing everything in his power to destroy the Kingdom of God.

Take note that this is not a fight with human beings as our foes are not human beings even though Satan constantly uses human beings to carry out his dirty work. We don’t have to lose heart because the Lord has promised to deliver us from all the afflictions. “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19).

Jesus knew from the beginning the afflictions that would come because of knowing Him, as children of God do not belong to the world as He did not also belong to the world (John 15:19).

The world will always love those that are in the world and not that which is of God. That is why when Jesus Christ went to be with the father, the Helper came and lives in the lives of the yielding vessels (John 14:18).

It is only fighting in God’s power with the Holy Spirit in us that will allow the enemy to be defeated. Many times people have thought fighting the enemy will involve a physical fight or actions which is not true.

We must fight in God’s power, wearing God’s armor. Ephesians 6:10 tells us to be strong in then Lord, and in the power of His might.  This power is at our disposal with what Jesus Christ has already accomplished for us at the Cross as the means.

It is only fighting the right way that will yield good results that we can sit and tell others to look at what God has done for us and be able to give a testimony in that big congregation.

Many have thought in a wrong way, and ended up fighting the wrong enemy which has resulted in defeat or small victories. We should never rejoice when we experience small victories here and there because that is not what God has intended for us.

Most Children of God have put the entire focus on the problem at hand, and in the process cannot even hear when God is talking to them because there focus is on problem at hand. Focus on Jesus Christ, as you focus on Him great and might things will start happening. Remember to seek first His Kingdom and all these things will be added (Matthew 6:33).

If we focus on Him, we get stronger spiritually; the Holy Spirit comes in us and will start working on our behalf, as the comforter is what Jesus left us with.  When I say that we don’t need to do anything, I do not mean that you should stop praying, I mean you just continue praying, reading the word of God, praising and worshipping God instead of dwelling too much on the problem. “In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
