St. Martins CDSS introduces computer studies

The head teacher of St Martin’s Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) in Mangochi, James Konola has expressed gratitude over the introduction of computer studies after Technify Malawi donated computers at the school.

Teachers learning how to use a computer.

In an interview, Konola said the learners are enjoying basic computer skills and are more interested to learn.

“The computers have reduced absenteeism among learners. Most students are now positive about school and stay after classes just to learn computer skills,” said Konola.

He,however,  said the computer lessons are offered to form fours only because they have a few computers as of now.

“We have divided the students into groups of four because of the number of computers available since the class has 70 learners,” he said.

On September 9, 2018 Technify Malawi donated four computers at St .Martins CDSS located in Malindi Mangochi which has a total enrolment of 450 learners.
