“Our sister Rudo chose to be close to her God, she surrendered her life to God, that is why, as a church, we are here today to bear witness.”
Kanjedza Group Village Headwoman in her eulogy said Rudo was talented and humble.
“Rudo was a humble girl and l remember when she was leaving for school in Ireland, she bid farewell to us but today instead of her mother being happy that her daughter is back with a degree it is the other way round.
“When a parent sends her daughter to oversee to study, she expects that child to come back home help her in other issues. But this is sad that Rudo was brutally murdered by an evil person,” said the chief
Rudo is suspected to have been killed byJasper Taruvinga a Zimbabweanwhom she met in church but quickly realised that he was far from Christian when she loaned him €150 and he refused to pay her back.
She had a brief and lethal romance with Taruvinga, who also went by the alias Jason Dube, before he killed her and stuffed her body into a suitcase.
Taruvinga decided to hang himself in England as the murder hunt got underway.
