T.B Joshua not prophet but opportunist says humanist Thindwa
The Executive Director for the Association of Secular Humanism Mr. George Thindwa has made flesh attacks on Nigerian popular prophet of the Synagogue church T.B Joshua describing him not as a prophet but an opportunist.
Thindwa is quoted in Nation on Sunday saying all those who call themselves prophets are crooks according to the understanding of the Humanists.
“To begin with, we humanists define prophecy as ‘lying professionally’ and this means those involved in it are crooks, credulous, poor and desperate people who just want to make fortune out of little opportunities” said Thindwa.
He therefore refuted claims that T.B Joshua prophesised that Malawi president Bingu wa Mutharika was going to die on April 5.
Thindwa said Mutharika’s death was a natural cause but it might happen that Joshua had a hint of the problem that Mutharika had been suffering from – cancer.
“I have no doubt that Joshua had access to Mutharika’s medical records. You may recall that Bingu went to Nigeria just a few months ago but we don’t know what he went there for.” he said.
“Suppose he went there to seek medical help from Joshua’s so called ministry then it’s obvious that the latter browse through the formers medical records and he might have been making his predictions out of that” he added.
T.B Joshua made a prophecy few months ago that one of African leaders will die and he therefore asked Africans to pray for their leaders.
Meanwhile, Thindwa has asked people to ignore T.B Joshua’s prophecy.
“No prophecy has come to pass so Joshua’s prophecy should be ignored.” he said.
