TB Joshua Prophey: Minister fears for Bingu, gives offering
One of Malawi’s Ministers on Wednesday shocked teachers and pupils at a Lilongwe school when he visited with three live goats and a Muslim Sheikh saying he had gone there for an offering on behalf of President Bingu wa Mutharika and his family following Prophet TB Joshua’s prophecy of a sudden death of an African President.
Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development Yunusu Mussa, a staunch Muslim, said he was concerned with the prophecy, fearing that the referred President might be the 79-year-old Malawian President and wanted to ask God to spare him, according to sources at the school.
Mussa arrived at the school around 10.00 in the morning with two journalists from state controlled MBC TV and Radio.
“He approached the director telling her that he wanted to make an offering both for Mutharika and his entire family to be spared if TB Joshua’s prophecy might be referring to him,” said one of the pupils who witnessed the slaughtering of the three goats by the Muslim Sheikh.
The pupil said after slaughtering the goats amidst a player by the Sheikh, Mussa, who is also ruling DPP second vice President, ordered that the meat be shared amongst the teachers and pupils.
The source said the Minister was doing this with all the blessings from the Head of State and as a concerned citizen of Malawi who would not want to see the president die before accomplishing his work of developing the nation.
“It is sad that soon after the prophecy some online publication and social media networks were wishing that the said President should be our President. To me that is not human and unfortunately some of them were quoting the Bible in their wishes,” Mussa is said to have told both teachers and the pupils.
Surprisingly the story on Mussa’s offering was not carried on both the state television and radio stations.
Recently there have been speculations in the media of Mutharik’s poor health with reports last year that he had gone to a hospital after he extended his visit to Australia to attend Commonwelath Heads of State Meeting. On his return he said he had gone for a holiday and not to a hospital.
The renowned Nigerian Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly known as TB Joshua, prophesied during a February 5 Sunday service that an old Africa dictator would die soon.
TB Joshua has in the past foretold many world shaking events which include the death of Michael Jackson, the resignation of Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf, and also the rise of the current president of Ghana a few weeks before they happened.
“I’m seeing a head of state, by that I mean a president. He is not feeling well. He is very old. What is this I’m seeing…sudden death. .I’m seeing the death of an old African president in two months,” TB Joshua is said to have prophesied during a Sunday service in Lagos.
TB Joshua did not disclose the name of this old African president, but many Zimbabweans on Monday rushed to suggest that it could be President Robert Mugabe who is currently Africa’s oldest presidential ruler.
The Nigerian Prophet has become so popular in Malawi that some renowned personalities including Malawi’s vice President Joyce Banda and several other Malawians have made visits to him to seek God’s intervention to their fate or be healed on various ailments.
Both Mussa and the director of the school popularly known as Mayi Aisha declined to comment on the offering.
