Teddy returns with Twinkle, enlists Kelvin Sings and Bucci
RnB artist Teddy has returned to active music with a hit record featuring talented Kelvin Sings and Bucci.
Teddy’s last release was in 2015 when he featured Dance-hall queen Sangie on Ndionetse.
The artist has been focusing his energy on pursuing his education.
Twinkle is the official single for his upcoming EP titled ‘FingerPrintz’ scheduled for release late November.
The song is an Rnb and soul Fusion, produced by Bucci and Teddy with mastering by hitmaker Sonyezo.
“It’s an extension on the kindergarten’s- twinkle little star how I wonder what you are’ sort of a fairy among the young ones”.
“I composed a similar melody to that in order to familiarize the song however, the message goes deeper than the fairies, we talked about things we personally hope and wish for, above all, what we are doing about it”. Says Teddy.
Born Teddy Maliza in Blantyre City, he grew up in Chilomoni Township realizing his talent to sing very well at a tender age of six. While growing, he fell in love with gospel singer George Mkandawire’s music.
He hogged into the limelight in 2014 when he performed at the Sunbird Search for Music Talent competition as a contestant.
Shortly afterwards, he recorded songs with Bucci. This was followed by his solo projects which sadly never saw day light.
His debut release is ‘Mpaka Kale’. This was followed by ‘Nkhawa Bii’ and “Ndionetse Feat. Sangie” which were produced by V2 at Next level Music studios in Chitawira, Blantyre.
In 2010, he joined music group BBM Clique. the group is a gospel rap group which taught him a lot about music.
