There is power in the name of Jesus; Use Properly.

Calling the name of Jesus assures immediate answers if done by faith and according to the will of God.Christians are given the Power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus because everything that we receive from God as children of God is accomplished through the great work of Christ being extended through all believers (John 14:13-14).

As Children of God, we have this legal right to pray for one another in the Name of Jesus with an expectation that those who are oppressed both physically and spiritually will be delivered from demonic spirits and oppression, sicknesses will leave, the dead will be raised, and even those in need to be provided for. It is God’s plan that we should have all things that pertain to Life and Godliness, which Jesus paid for at the Cross, providing our faith is ever in Christ and the Cross.

Believers need to however understand that the Name of Jesus is not a magic word. The power is not in saying the words, but it’s in understanding and believing, that Jesus is the finished work on the cross, which fulfilled God’s plan of redemption and salvation which has brought victory over sin, death and defeated all principalities and powers. “God has highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow”(Philippians 2:9-10). This means that there is no situation that will not bow down in the Name of Jesus. Jesus himself said that these signs will follow them who believe; in My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Looking at this verse you see that all these benefits comes to those who have believed, meaning accepting Jesus Christ and putting the Cross as the object of their faith. When we believe and accept him is when we receive power to stand and command things in the name of Jesus Christ. I can say this legal authority comes in after accepting Him as our personal savior because we are saved by believing what He has accomplished on the Cross.

This is why when Paul saw a certain girl who was demon possessed, was grieved because he knew that he had the authority to command the evil spirit that was in the girl by using the Name of Jesus. In his own capability, it was not possible, but He knew one, when powers of the darkness hears about His Name, they tremble and know that their time is up, and leave. the evil spirit came out the same hour. Paul knew the power in the Name of Jesus, especially the victory that came from the Cross of Calvary; therefore his boldness in commanding using the Name of Jesus.

I have met with people who believe that when they accepted Jesus, no sickness has to come to them, even attacks from the enemy cannot touch them because Jesus has done it already on the Cross. It is sad because some people even don’t take time to read the bible because Jesus has done it all already. Yes He has done it and you are believing right but you need to know that this has now given you that legal right to claim what belongs to you. Reading the bible is what ignites the relationship between you and the Father and within a short time you find that you are no longer the same person, as your desires starts changing and your focus becomes different. This is now the good time to start calling on the Name of Jesus as things will start happening when you call on His Name. “Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not”(Jeremiah 33:3). He is waiting for us to call on His name and ready to give us all our needs.

The Name of Jesus, if used in a proper way does wonders. There is no power of darkness that will prevail in the Name of Jesus.Let us use this Name of Jesus in a right way, so that we can see Him take over the situations that we have carried on our own for too long because it will no longer be us, but He is going to take over.
