Theresa Phondo to headline gospel concert with African stars
Malawian gospel star Theresa Phondo is set to pull off one of the biggest cross-border line-ups the country’s gospel scene has seen in years — with Nigerian sensation Adah Ehi and Zambian hitmaker Pompi both confirmed to headline alongside her.

The star-studded show, dubbed Theresa Phondo Live in Concert, will take over the BICC Amphitheatre in Lilongwe on 31 October, with homegrown talent Praise Umali, Paul Kachaa, Beraca and Esther Chitheka also on the bill.
Phondo said the concert was a deeply personal celebration, marking a milestone moment in her musical journey and her growing reach across the continent.
‘This is a very special one,’ she gushed. ‘It’s Malawian at heart, but connecting to the rest of Africa. We are having a Nigerian representative, Adah Ehi, a Zambian representative, and I think it’s just going to be a very special night, God willing.’
Nigerian star Adah Ehi will be making her second appearance in Malawi, while Zambian favourite Pompi is no stranger to Malawian stages either, having previously wowed local crowds.
Excited fans are already snapping up tickets, which are on sale now via Kwenda.co.
