Thieves have broken into the residence of the Catholic Bishop of Chikhwawa Diocese, stealing property worth K1 million.
Bishop Peter Musikuwa – robbed
Chikhwawa Police spokesperson Dickson Matemba said six unknown criminals invaded the premises of Bishop Peter Musikuwa, and tied up guards.
He said the guards were forced to lead the criminals in various rooms where they stole various items including phones and laptops valued over K1 million.
Matemba also said the six unknown criminals also attacked a residence of Catholic sisters where they went away with laptops and smart phones.
Meanwhile police say they have launched an investigation into the matter.
