Tigers sack coach, hire Mpulula –report

Blantyre United coach Leonard ‘A Leo’ Mpulula has been hired by struggling Super League side Azam Tigers after sacking McDonald ‘Anginde’ Mtetemela.

According to Maravi Post report, Mpulula confirmed in a television interview with MBC TV sports presenter Kelvin Moyo Wednesday evening that he has been offered a job at Tigers.

Mpulula said was saddened to leave the sponsorship starved Blantyre United.

Mpulula; Life goes on

“Life must go on. It’s a question of survival and we work to earn money,” Mpulula is quoted as saying.

“Leaving Blantyre United is like I have lost a son. I am leaving the guys with deep sorrow because the free environment that existed; the guys understood me and I understood them,” he added.

Tigers are lying second from the bottom of TNM Super League table with only five points from seven games, having won one game drawn two and lost four.
