This year’s tournament is scheduled to start on Saturday 17th October, 2015 and the launching ceremony will take place at the Katoto netball court in Mzuzu.

Tigresses coach Peace Chawinga Kalua said on Wednesday that the team is well preparared and that it is looking forward to nothing but victory.

“We are ready to defend the title and we have prepared very wel,” said Chawinga Kalua.

Complex Tigers will battle it out against Blue Eagles Sisters, Mimosa and Mafco before progressing to the next stage.

In this year’s competition, the modern fast five series has been abolished and they will use old format of playing with seven players aside and in four quarters of 15 minutes each.

Meanwhile, the Tigresses coach has advised Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) to always set a calendar for the teams to have proper planning.

“When we don’t have a netball calendar, it is a disadvantage to both players and clubs because we keep on training without an idea of when exactly we will be taking part in a competition” said Chawinga Kalua.

Multichoice Malawi will dish out a whooping K1.2 Million as starter pack to all eight teams participating in this years GoTv netball tournament.

The winner will walk away with a trophy and K2.5 Million cash prize.

Some of the games will be beamed live on zodiak Television while others will be recorded and rebroadcast later.
