Makata: New network quality

TNM’s Chief Commercial Officer, Daniel Makata, said work to install the new sites was completed towards the end of 2015 in readiness for the New Year as TNM seeks to give its customers a new network quality experience.

“Commissioning of the new sites reaffirms our quest to expand coverage to any critical geographical location in Malawi be it land or water and where our service adds value to life,” Makata said.

He said TNM believes that access to quality network services in mobile communication is a catalyst to boost tourism industry in Malawi.

“For tourism to thrive it needs a high quality and dependable mobile network complete with data capabilities and that is what we are offering through the additional sites. Tourists need high speed internet and data connectivity to stay in touch with family and their business. TNM which has smart data internet is now ready to respond to this need,” he said.

The additional sites include Senga Bay and Mafco, Kasanga Bay and Mazizi Bay.

He said TNM is a strong brand in Malawi and this strength comes from being the first mobile operator and more especially that it is a Malawian company, with innovative products and services.

“Our mission is to be Malawi’s premier mobile company of choice, offering best in class mobile telecommunication services to people everywhere,” said Makata.

TNM offers a comprehensive range of pre – paid and post paid services, these include voice and data connectivity. TNM has been a pioneer of many services in Malawi and became the first mobile operator in Malawi to launch 3.5G broadband services in Malawi offering cutting edge services such as video calls, video and music streaming, high speed wireless internet access services.

“As Malawi’s Premier mobile company we will enable people and businesses to realise their full potential. In doing so, our mobile services will contribute to the growth and development of the Malawi economy,” he added.
